Palm oil is the most commonly used vegetable oil in the world. It is pressed from the fruit of the oil palm. Because it is so cheap, the palm oil industry processed world for several years in food and detergents as well as in biodiesel. Since then, the plantations are spreading more and more. Oil palms grow only where even the rain forest grows , and as a giant jungle is like after another - often illegally. According to the United Nations oil -palm plantations is the main reason for the destruction of nature in Indonesia and Malaysia. Worldwide about 35 football fields of rainforest are cleared every minute."
